What’s Really Wrong With Our Society
After a long day of contemplating once again what the real problem of our society is (you could say just the west, as that’s what I’m talking about, but I’m sure you could throw in the other societies as well – be it influenced by the west or not) it finally occurred to me. The answer came to me in a sudden flash of enlightenment, a satori, a swift kick to the head. Now it may be obvious, it may be common sense, it may not be a big revelation to you, but I find sometimes the right answer is always the simplest. The idiots and crazy people have always been the majority; it’s been like that since man evolved from apes, shit even when apes were just apes. There’s the alpha male, maybe a couple of cunning female’s who can gain the acceptance of the alpha male, maybe one beta male that tries to push for the alpha status – but the rest of the group is full of ignorant pack fillers. The rest of the pack that fills out a group, as without a pack there can be no alpha. But it is only now in our over exposed culture where we are inundated with messages on all fronts, that I can understand that the thing that is wrong, is that because we are over run with morons, the messages that are coming out are dim witted and half baked. If you are one of the few intelligent people who try to see the reality of what’s going on in any situation, sifting through this utter shit is tiring and frustrating.
It’s a problem that I think stems from our over sensitive pc ways we have let happen. We can no longer say someone’s retarded, crazy, whatever, without being insensitive and ‘misinformed’ – so in retrospect we no longer lock up nut jobs that end up grabbing a gun and shooting people. Using this as an example you can have an event like we just recently had, again, and you can see perhaps two sides of the same coin. Let’s say you have in one camp saying guns should be illegal because without a gun this crazy freak wouldn’t have been able to shoot people up. But you would have the argument that it’s not guns that kill people its people who do. Both are essentially true, but the real problem isn’t that guns are available or that people might be influenced to shoot people because of rhetoric or aggression from video games or movies – it’s that we allow crazy people to run around our streets with impunity. We are so afraid of labeling someone as nuts we don’t do anything. People like the recent shooter should have been locked up and never let near guns. I don’t have a problem with people owning guns, or owning nuclear weapons, if they are fucking sane and live in a place that seems to be receding faster than the tree lines – that place is called reality.
Now the reality is, we’ve always lived with people on edge or are nuts, but we have a thing called freedom, and I’m a strong supporter of freedom. I’m not calling for anything like a witch hunt on crazy people. But we need to realize, in all this insane ramblings of lunatics, that some people are just fucking crazy. A lot of the shit you read on websites, newspapers, see on TV, is complete insanity. We are assaulted with it on a constant basis, it’s near impossible to escape from it.
Once again, people see an event and want to blame something, someone, what the insane people do is post it to a political party, ideal, or fundamentalism – when the real answer, as always, is the simplest one. People are just fucking loony. There is no simple solutions, other than the smart people need to get their heads out of their asses, and stop letting the morons tell us what we can and can’t say. This pc world is encroaching on our freedom of speech and it’s starting to really concern me. It is frequently since I’ve been tweeting or writing this blog that I’ve felt that maybe I shouldn’t say something in the open for fear or the Gestapo coming in and taking me to a dark prison to gas me to death. And I ask you, is this freedom? Is this the society you were raised to believe in and fight for?
I think not. I am sad to say my friends; I think we’ve already lost it. On to the next one.
