Best Girl Friend
So who’s the “best” girlfriend a guy could have? Any of you who are single [and some of you who are not LOL …kidding]
The fact is, no ONE is perfect [except me of course] but you can “PERFECT” yourself. How? For starters, remember what it takes to be a good boy friend, what you want from a man. Gosh, this will be my simplest blog ever. Ok, all you need to do is to write down on a piece of paper what you want in a man and then reverse it, If you can’t be the same person you want from him then you ain’t perfect yet, honey, you better get your shit together if you’re looking for Mr Wonderful. After all, perfect is as perfect does. If you don’t see a tight ass in the mirror, don’t expect him to have a tight ass. If you don’t make 100k a year then don’t expect him to make 100k. If your not as silly and funny as an episode of Family Guy then don’t expect him to be. You get my point. Be brutally honest with yourself and who is a perfect fit for you. It may be that the perfect person for you is not someone you would think is right. I got an email recently from know a couple like that, they want to kill each other some days but they are still in love and for some reason it works. They smile and laugh at the odd match but don’t fight it.
You see, something can be a perfect match, a perfect fit, but the two parts of the whole are not perfect in and of themselves. Human beings are like that. For example; let’s say a rusty old piece of shit car got a flat tire and the spare tire had very little tread left on it but there was plenty of air in it. So the car isn’t perfect and the tire isn’t perfect but when you put them together it’s a perfect match and you’re back on the road of life. Let’s hope most of you aren’t rusty pieces of shit or full of air with little tread left.
I don’t know about you, but when I look around at some of the couples out there I sometimes find myself thinking, “Really? She’s dating him?” or “I wouldn’t do her”. But these very people are in relationships and seemingly happy. Are they perfect? NO. But they are perfect for each other.
My girlfriend is not perfect but she’s perfect for me. That’s all we can ask for in life. THERE IS NO PERFECT. PERFECT DOES NOT EXIST. IF IT DID, I WOULD HAVE FOUND IT BY NOW. Trust me, I looked. So I repeat, what I did find is someone who is perfect for me and that is more than enough. We should all be so lucky.
A great poet once wrote: “People search their whole lives for one moment of what we share when we’re together…” author unknown. But the author was speaking of imperfect perfection.
Go forth and try and discover someone you’re perfect with not someone who’s perfect.
