Sands of Doubt
A difficulty of being human is considering the long term view. We were crafted in a world where surviving till tomorrow was less than 60%. As modern medicine and lifestyles evolved our brains have lagged.
Modern lives. Prehistoric Programing.
This programing is the reason that we make the wrong choices and make us more risk adverse. It is the reason why while we may praise risk takers we still view them as “the other.”
It is hard to escape this vicious programming. Your logical mind may have an abundance mentaility and yet you find yourself hesitating.
You want to jump, but at the same time you stop yourself. End up tripping.
Perhapse you have discovered an emotional attachment and are afraid of losing it. You falter.
Perhapse an opportunity presents itself, but may put your family’s financial security at risk.
Nervousness flows through your veins. Your mind churns out hypotheticals that are based on too many unaccounted variables.
Fear and Anxiety. The dastardly duo of a man’s destruction.
How to overcome it. Emotions are a powerful force within a human.
Playboys can succumb to it. Rubirosa.
Great generals are not immune. Patton.
I was taught that you fit more sand in an open palm than in a closed fist.
Let life take its course. The more you try and account for variables the more you lose.Truth.
Easy to espouse. Harder to hone. Currency of Greats.
Recently I found myself in a position where I feared a loss. I almost found my mindset and actions contaminated by its potency.
Quite simply I made missteps. Acknowledged. Contemplated. Overcame.
Do I have a second chance. No idea. Life doesn’t offer many second chances.
Am I cool with it. Historia Est Vitae Magistra.
Trip-ups happen. Meh. Relish in the lesson. Don’t repeat it.
As you lay your head on your buckwheat pillow remember the day is over.
Tomorrow you wake up with another lesson to support the Lifestyle.
Prepare the smirk for the haters.
